The teXXor® leather bib and brace overalls are designed for anyone whose work involves sparks, heat, or rough mechanical stress. They suit tradespeople and industrial workers looking for a durable base garment that holds up to repeated hard use. A ruler pocket and adjustable fit at the hip and leg hem via press studs make them practical for everyday work as well.
Made from 100% full-grain cowhide leather roughly 1.25 mm thick, these overalls have the noticeable weight and sturdy feel typical of quality full-grain leather. The material feels firmer to wear than fabric alternatives, but in return offers considerably better resistance to impact, cuts, and abrasion. Instead of standard sewing thread, the seams are stitched with aramid thread – a detail that's easy to overlook but matters when heat or flame contact comes into play: while ordinary thread can melt or burn through, the heat-resistant aramid thread keeps the seam intact.
The garment is not assigned to any PPE category, meaning it hasn't been certified as protective equipment against specific hazards. Its protective qualities instead come from the materials themselves: full-grain cowhide withstands mechanical wear and localised heat exposure better than many other fabrics, and the aramid-reinforced seams stop the garment from failing exactly where ordinary stitched seams typically give way first.
That makes these overalls a solid choice for vehicle manufacturing, aircraft construction, mechanical engineering, and the metalworking industry – anywhere rough mechanical strain and localised heat are part of the daily job.
