The Supreme Warm wool glove from Blaklader is a thin, flexible glove designed to work as an inner layer beneath an outer glove. It suits anyone who needs to work precisely in cold conditions without losing finger dexterity, such as during assembly work or other detailed tasks. If you wear it underneath another glove, it is worth sizing the outer glove up slightly to leave enough room for both layers.
The glove is made from a high proportion of wool combined with polyamide and elastane, giving it strong insulating and moisture-regulating properties. This keeps hands warm and dry even during extended use, without the damp, clammy feeling some gloves cause. Its fine 15-gauge knit keeps the glove pleasantly thin and flexible, so fiddly tasks remain easy to handle. A practical touch function on the index finger also lets you operate a phone or tablet without taking the glove off.
For protection, the glove meets EN 388 for mechanical risks and EN 511 for cold protection, tested according to EN ISO 21420. In practice, this means solid baseline protection against abrasion, cuts and cold exposure, exactly what is needed for outdoor work or cool indoor environments. The wool itself is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard and processed chrome-free.
