The Birke bib and brace trousers are built for anyone working in forestry or with a chainsaw who needs to be seen as well as protected. They combine high-visibility fluorescent orange with a cut-resistant lining, making them a practical choice for forestry workers, arborists and anyone regularly handling motorised cutting tools.
The outer fabric is a durable blend of 70% polyester and 30% cotton at around 245 g/m², a weight chosen for daily wear and heavy use. The raised waistband gives extra protection to the lower back, while elastic, adjustable braces and an adjustable waistband allow the fit to be tailored to different body shapes and movements on site. A gusset in the crotch adds freedom of movement when crouching or striding out, and YKK zips are built to withstand frequent use. Thoughtful pocket placement, with side pockets, a rear pocket with flap, a ruler pocket and a zipped bib pocket, keeps tools and small items secure and within easy reach.
The trousers meet EN ISO 20471 Class 1 for high-visibility clothing, helping the wearer to be spotted early in poor light conditions. They are also certified to EN ISO 11393 Part 2, Class 1, Protection Zone Form A, the standard for chainsaw protective clothing. The cut-resistant lining is DPLF-tested, and the garment additionally carries KWF standard and FPA recognition, marks widely regarded as quality benchmarks in forestry work.
This makes the Birke bib and brace trousers well suited to forestry workers, arborists, landscapers and other professionals who need certified protection and strong visibility when working with a chainsaw. Sizes range from 48 to 64, and the trousers are supplied in packs of 5.
