The Joris padded softshell jacket is a high-visibility workwear piece for anyone working outdoors or near busy traffic routes in wind, rain and cold. The detachable sleeves let you wear it as a vest as well, making it a flexible choice for changing weather and working conditions. An adjustable hem and cuffs, plus a removable hood, allow the fit to be adapted to the wearer and the task at hand.
The outer fabric is a 3-layer laminate made from 100% polyester that is both windproof and waterproof while still releasing moisture from the inside. With a water column of 5,000 mm and breathability of 1,000 g/m²/24h, the jacket stays dry in persistent rain without trapping heat inside. The warm quilted lining adds extra insulation on cold days, and the tough, abrasion-resistant softshell fabric holds up to daily wear on site or on the road. Four pockets, including an inside pocket with hook-and-loop fastening, provide plenty of room for tools and personal items.
The jacket meets EN ISO 20471 Class 3, the highest visibility class for hi-vis workwear, making it suitable for high-risk roles involving road traffic, such as civil engineering or work on or near carriageways. When worn as a vest, that configuration is rated Class 2. The thermo-fixed, segmented reflective stripes on the front, back, shoulders and sleeves are applied without extra seams, reducing stress on the fabric at these points. The jacket also complies with the base standard EN ISO 13688 for protective clothing.
This makes the Joris a strong fit for workers in road construction and civil engineering, traffic control and emergency services, and anywhere reliable visibility combined with weather protection is needed all year round.
