The Kjell UV neck shade protects the neck and ears from strong sun exposure during outdoor work without ever restricting visibility. Designed as an accessory for hard hats Art. 4003, 40031 and 4004, it can be mounted onto the helmet and swapped out again whenever it needs replacing or cleaning. This makes it a practical choice for anyone spending long hours outdoors in summer who wants to upgrade an existing helmet with reliable sun protection.
The outer material is 100% polyester at around 130 g/m², resulting in a fabric that is light to wear yet sturdy enough for daily use, adding no noticeable extra weight to the helmet. Available in fluorescent orange and grey, it can be matched to company colour schemes or personal preference alongside the rest of the safety gear.
UV protection is tested to EN 13758-2 and reaches a UV protection factor of UPF 40+, meaning the fabric significantly reduces the amount of harmful UV radiation reaching the skin. This gives real protection to the neck and ears, areas that are especially exposed to the sun during outdoor work.
The neck shade suits any profession working outdoors in a hard hat, such as road construction, forestry or general site work, and its purchase can be subsidised through BG Bau. Supplied as bulk goods with a minimum order of 10 pieces, it is also well suited to equipping entire teams.
