The TOWA® PowerGrab® Katana is a knitted glove built for tasks that demand both cut and heat protection. It suits anyone working with sharp-edged materials who still wants dexterity and comfort on the job – the blend of protective fibre and flexible knit makes it a solid choice for everyday wear.
The liner is made from a mix of aramid, polyester and steel yarn, which gives the glove its cut-resistant properties without making it stiff or bulky to work in. The palm is coated with a microporous latex finish that delivers a strong, reliable grip, even when handling oily or slightly damp workpieces. This coating also contributes to a long service life, so the glove holds up well under frequent use.
When it comes to protection, the Katana covers two key risk areas: the aramid fibre provides resistance against sharp edges, while the glove also guards against thermal hazards, withstanding contact heat of up to 250°C for 15 seconds. It is tested to EN ISO 21420:2020, EN 388:2016+A1:2018 for mechanical risks, and EN 407:2020 for heat and flame, and falls under PPE Category II.
This makes it well suited to trades and workshops, mechanical engineering, locksmiths, and vehicle service yards, as well as metal and glass processing – anywhere sharp components and hot surfaces are part of daily work.
