The Blaklader S5 safety boot is a lightweight work boot with a medium last, built for anyone working outdoors on changing terrain. Whether on a construction site, in road building or landscaping, the boot is fully waterproof and keeps feet dry in wet weather or damp ground conditions.
The upper is made entirely of PU, while the outsole combines PU and TPU. Inside, a polyamide lining creates a comfortable feel against the foot, and a PU foam insole adds extra cushioning. In practice this adds up to a genuinely light boot to wear all day, without giving up on toughness. The outsole's slip-resistant design also provides secure footing on uneven or slippery ground.
Certified to EN ISO 20345:2011 in safety class S5, the boot brings together several key protective features: a steel toe cap guards against impact and compression, a steel anti-penetration sole stops sharp objects from piercing through from below, and the CI marking indicates insulation against cold. The SRC rating confirms tested slip resistance on both ceramic tile with detergent and steel surfaces with glycerine. The sole is also oil-resistant, and the boot's antistatic properties make it suitable for environments where a build-up of static electricity is a concern.
That combination makes it a practical choice across a wide range of trades, including bricklayers and tilers, plumbers, road and construction workers, concrete workers, as well as gardeners, fishermen and forestry workers.
