The PREVENT® PHO-FR hi-vis trousers are built for anyone working outdoors in changing weather who also needs protection against heat and open flame. Combining high visibility, weather protection and flame resistance, they suit demanding conditions such as construction sites, civil engineering or industrial settings where sparks or brief flame contact are a real risk.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester with a PU coating and an additional flame-retardant finish. Welded rather than stitched seams keep the trousers watertight exactly where ordinary seams tend to let moisture through first. The elasticated waistband allows freedom of movement, while the press studs at the hem can be fastened and released easily even over safety boots. The antistatic finish reduces the build-up of static from everyday friction, and the double reflective stripe running around each leg keeps the wearer visible from every angle.
The trousers are tested to EN 343, the standard for protective clothing against rain and weather, confirming that the material and construction reliably keep out wind and water rather than merely resisting it. Combined with the flame-retardant coating, this makes them suitable for outdoor work where both wet conditions and thermal risks are a concern, such as road construction, maintenance and installation work on overhead lines, or areas with an increased spark hazard. The trousers come in orange and are available in sizes S to 5XL.
