The PREVENT® 174OA hi-vis pilot jacket is built for anyone who needs to stay visible and protected outdoors in changing weather. Thanks to its detachable sleeves, it converts into a vest, adapting to different temperatures and tasks without requiring a second jacket. The hood tucked into the collar is ready whenever rain sets in unexpectedly, while the fleece collar adds extra warmth around the neck.
Made from 100% polyester with a PU coating, the jacket is built to withstand moisture and everyday wear while staying comparatively light to wear. The welded seams keep water from seeping in at the stitch lines, and the quilted lining keeps warmth in without restricting freedom of movement. Two hand pockets, two chest pockets, an inner pocket and a sleeve pocket give plenty of room to store tools, a phone or paperwork securely. Press studs at the cuffs let the sleeve width be adjusted, useful for keeping out draughts or pulling the jacket on comfortably over gloves.
The jacket meets EN 343, meaning it is designed to protect against rain and moisture, keeping water out and preventing it from reaching the skin during extended work outdoors, which makes a noticeable difference to comfort over a long shift. Classified as PPE Category II, it covers a mid-level protection need.
This makes the 174OA a strong choice for workers in road construction, logistics, on building sites or in municipal services, where high-visibility orange and weather protection are equally important.
