The PLANAM Weld Shield trousers are designed for anyone working in the metal industry, chemical sector, or in roles requiring heat and welding protection. Part of the Weld Shield collection developed specifically for welding work, these trousers come in grey/black and cornflower blue/black and are available in 18 sizes ranging from 42 to 110, making it easy to find the right fit.
The fabric is made from 84% cotton, 15% polyester and 1% carbon fibres, combined with anti-static fibres, at a weight of approximately 365 g/m². This blend results in a sturdy yet comfortable pair of trousers that holds up well during long, demanding shifts. An elastic waistband and seven belt loops allow for a secure, adjustable fit, while the button fly and waistband closures keep everything firmly in place.
The fabric has a flame-retardant finish and is anti-static, two properties that offer real protection when working around heat, sparks, or open flames. The flame-retardant finish stops the fabric from continuing to burn on contact with fire, while the anti-static properties, achieved through the integrated carbon fibres, help dissipate static charge that could otherwise pose a risk in flammable environments.
Practical storage is provided by two vertical front pockets with press studs, a thigh pocket with flap on the left, a ruler pocket with flap on the right, and two rear pockets with flaps. This makes the Weld Shield trousers a solid choice for welders, metalworkers, and anyone who needs dependable protective clothing when working with heat, open flame, or chemical substances.
