Fastening is done with plastic snap buttons, keeping the hood metal-free and quick to put on or take off.

The outer fabric is a laminated, inherently flame-retardant material made from modacrylic, cotton, polyamide, polyurethane and aramid, offering oil, dirt and water repellency while staying windproof. With a waterproof rating of 12,000mm and breathability of Ret 8.15, the hood keeps rain and moisture out without trapping sweat inside. The quilted lining with a high aramid content provides noticeable warmth without restricting movement, and welded seams stop water from getting in through the stitching. At 290 g/m², it stays lightweight without skimping on insulation.

Because the hood is made from inherently flame-retardant fibres rather than a surface coating, the protection holds up even after repeated wear and washing at 60°C. The broken, flame-retardant transfer reflective stripes add visibility in poor light, a real safety benefit for anyone working near traffic or during dawn and dusk hours.
