The MAPA SOLO 998 is an extra-long single-use glove made from natural latex, designed specifically for precision work and short-term use. At 30 cm, it extends well beyond the wrist, protecting the forearm as well as the hand, making it a practical choice wherever more than just the hands come into contact with the task at hand. It can be worn on either hand, which simplifies handling in daily use.
The elastic natural latex, just 0.10 mm thick, delivers excellent tactile sensitivity and dexterity for detailed, fiddly tasks. The outer surface is smooth, while the fingertips are textured for a secure grip on small parts. The inside is chlorinated, which makes putting the glove on and taking it off noticeably easier, even after wearing it for a while. The rolled cuff at the end adds extra grip and comfort when pulling the glove on.
The glove is liquid-tight and silicone-free, but it is explicitly not intended for prolonged contact with or immersion in liquids, nor for mechanical stress; contact with oil and grease should be avoided. It is best understood as protection against brief contact and a tool for sensitive handling rather than genuine chemical protection.
The SOLO 998 is mainly used in mechanical and automotive industries for assembling oil- and grease-free small parts, in healthcare for routine work in hospitals and clinics, and in laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing and compounding.
