These warm-lined winter trousers in high-vis class 2 are built for anyone working outdoors through the cold season, where wind, rain and low visibility all come into play. Whether on a construction site, in road work, roofing or driving, the trousers combine warmth with freedom of movement for long shifts outside.
The outer fabric is coated Oxford polyester, waterproof up to 15,000 mm and windproof, yet still breathable so moisture is carried away rather than trapped against the body. The seams are taped, keeping water out at every seam line. Knees and leg ends are reinforced with CORDURA®, giving the areas that see the most wear noticeably better resistance to abrasion. The warm mesh and polyester lining keeps the cold out without restricting movement, thanks to the ergonomically shaped legs. An adjustable waist and leg opening with hook-and-loop closures, along with openable snow guards at the ankles, let you fine-tune the fit to the weather and to your build.
The trousers meet EN ISO 20471 class 2 for high-visibility clothing, keeping the wearer visible even in poor light, with reflective tape running around the legs for visibility from multiple angles. They are tested to EN 343 for wind and rain protection, and to EN 342 for cold protection when combined with certain other Blaklader garments. The external knee pad pockets take knee protection inserts, adding extra support for kneeling work.
A practical set of pockets, including a ruler pocket, back pocket, leg pocket with a phone compartment and pre-set attachments for detachable tool pockets, makes these trousers a genuine working tool for gardeners, drivers, roofers and road or construction workers. The detachable braces and the separately available nail pockets, article 2170, can be added as needed.
