This lightly lined shell work trouser from Blaklader is built for anyone working outdoors in wind, rain and cold while needing to stay visible on the job, from road and construction workers to roofers, drivers and groundskeepers. Adjustable, detachable braces, an elastic waistband and a Velcro-adjustable waist let the trousers adapt to different body shapes and working postures.
The outer fabric is coated Oxford polyester, waterproof up to 15,000 mm and windproof, yet breathable enough to stop the trousers feeling stuffy during hard physical work, letting moisture escape from inside. Welded, taped seams keep water from getting through at the stitching. Pre-shaped, ergonomic trouser legs and mesh lining in key areas make the trousers more comfortable to wear over long shifts, while CORDURA® reinforcement at the knees and leg ends adds durability exactly where it's needed most. External knee pad pockets hold pads in place, easing the strain of kneeling work.
The trousers are certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 1, meeting the requirements for high visibility workwear in medium-risk situations such as roadside work or construction sites with vehicle traffic. Reflective material around the legs plus wide transfer reflective stripes add visibility from every angle. They're also tested to EN 343 for protection against rain and wind, confirming in practice how well the waterproof and windproof fabric performs on site.
With a tape measure pocket, a zipped back pocket, a leg pocket with a phone compartment and pre-built attachment points for detachable tool pouches, these trousers are made for a real working day with tools close at hand. For extra storage, the separately sold CORDURA® tool pouches, item 2170, can be added on. With a wide range of tall and short sizes available, most people will find a length that actually fits.
