The Blaklader High Vis Shell work trousers are made for anyone who needs to stay visible and protected outdoors in all weather. Gardeners, drivers, roofers, and road and construction workers get a trouser that combines high-visibility safety with genuine weather protection, without sacrificing freedom of movement or comfort.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester in an Oxford weave, coated to be waterproof to 15,000 mm and fully windproof, with taped seams that keep moisture from creeping in at the stitching. A mesh lining keeps air moving underneath so the trousers do not feel stuffy, while the Ret 8.5 breathability rating lets excess heat escape during hard work. The knees are pre-shaped and the legs cut with an ergonomic fit, which makes a real difference when kneeling or bending on the job. CORDURA®-reinforced knee pad pockets at the front and reinforced leg ends add extra durability exactly where wear is heaviest.
The trousers are certified to EN 343, which rates protection against rain and wind, specifically class 4,4 for water penetration and water vapour resistance. They also meet EN ISO 20471 class 2, certification group Y, the standard for high-visibility lower-body protective clothing, with reflective details on the legs and pockets that work together with the fluorescent colour to keep the wearer visible in daylight and headlight beams.
The pocket layout is equally practical, with a rule pocket with a knife holder, a bellows leg pocket with a flap, rear pockets and loops for a hammer holder, making these trousers a reliable tool companion on construction sites and roadworks. A higher back waist and an adjustable elastic waistband keep them sitting securely during movement, whether worn with or without the detachable braces.
