This High Vis softshell work trouser from Blaklader is built for tradespeople, road workers and construction crews who need to keep working outdoors through autumn and winter weather. It combines high-visibility colours with a highly functional layout of pockets and tool holders, including a bellowed leg pocket, a reinforced ruler pocket, removable holster pockets and a loop for holding a hammer. That makes it just as suited to demanding jobsite use as to everyday tool carrying on the road or on site.
The 3-layer softshell fabric, made from polyester with an elastane content, keeps the trousers soft, comfortable and stretchy, so movement on the job is never restricted. Two-way stretch and pre-shaped legs mean the fit stays comfortable even with frequent bending or climbing. Dark, dirt-repellent panels in exposed areas help the trousers stay cleaner for longer, while CORDURA® reinforcements at the leg ends, tool pockets, rear pockets and ruler pocket add extra durability where it is needed most. The knee pad pockets are reinforced on the outside with CORDURA® stretch fabric, making them resistant to wear from kneeling.
The fabric is waterproof, windproof and breathable at the same time, keeping out rain and wind while still letting body heat escape. The trousers meet EN ISO 20471 Class 2, meaning they provide adequate visibility for work involving moderate risk in traffic or on construction sites. They are also certified to RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2, a standard for high-visibility clothing used in rail environments. Reflective striping around the legs helps keep the wearer visible even in poor light conditions.
Thanks to this mix of high-visibility protection, weather resistance and practical tool storage, the trousers are particularly well suited to road workers and construction tradespeople, as well as any outdoor worker who needs both visibility and weatherproofing on the job. The style is also available as the women's model 7118.
