This chainsaw trouser from Blaklader is designed for anyone working with motorised cutting tools who also needs to stay visible on site, including forestry workers, road and construction workers, and gardeners. It is suitable for both right- and left-handed users, making it a flexible choice for mixed crews.
The outer fabric is a sturdy twill made from 70% polyester and 30% cotton at 230g/m², finished to be water-repellent as well as oil- and dirt-repellent. The back panel is made from 4-way stretch fabric, which keeps the trousers light and easy to move in despite the protective front layer. Pre-shaped, ergonomically cut legs and a raised back add to everyday comfort, while adjustable, detachable braces with elastic and an elasticated waist let you fine-tune the fit. CORDURA® reinforcement at the knees and on the ruler pocket adds extra durability exactly where wear is heaviest.
The front of the leg offers full cut protection to class 1 under EN ISO 11393-2, Design A, guarding against contact with chainsaws and similar cutting tools. The trouser also meets EN ISO 20471 class 2 for high-visibility workwear, backed up by 70mm wide reflective tape for better visibility in poor light. The fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
A generous set of pockets, including a CORDURA®-reinforced ruler pocket, side pockets, a zipped back pocket, a zipped and gusseted leg pocket, and an inner mesh phone pocket, keeps tools and essentials organised on site. Loops, one fitted with a D-ring, along with adjustable leg openings with a drawcord, round off a trouser built for road building, construction sites and forestry work alike.
