This high-vis workwear trouser from Blaklader is designed for tradespeople as well as road and construction workers who are on the move all day and need to be seen while doing it. The 4-way stretch fabric makes the trousers remarkably supple, while the pre-shaped legs and ventilation at the knees and yoke add extra freedom of movement when crouching, kneeling or climbing. Dark-coloured panels in dirt-prone areas help the trousers stay presentable even after repeated wear.
The outer fabric is a double-woven 100% polyester at 260 g/m², giving the trousers a sturdy yet flexible feel that holds up to daily use on site. The knee pockets are made from CORDURA® stretch fabric, and the same reinforcement is used on the tool pockets, back pockets and ruler pocket - exactly the spots that take the most wear on a working day. The tool pockets themselves are removable, extra wide and fitted with additional compartments and loops, so they can be adapted to the task at hand or taken off entirely when not needed.
The trousers meet EN ISO 20471 class 2, meaning they provide reliable visibility in poor light or near traffic - an important safety factor for anyone working close to vehicles or machinery. Combined with certain Blaklader knee pads, they also satisfy EN 14404-3, which covers protection while working on your knees. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification confirms that the materials used have been tested for harmful substances.
This makes the trousers a strong choice for road building and civil engineering work, for site crews and for any trade that regularly works outdoors in changing light conditions. The style is available for men and, as model 7022, in a dedicated women's fit.
