The Waredex Work 550 from KCL is a cut-resistant glove designed for tasks involving sharp-edged or pointed workpieces where precise handling still matters. It suits professionals in metalworking, assembly and general handling who need reliable cut protection without sacrificing the feel for small parts.
Its shell is knitted from a blend of HPPE high-modulus fibre, glass fibre and polyamide, finished with a polyurethane coating. This combination gives the glove a light, flexible feel despite its protective performance, allowing long working hours without hand fatigue. The PU coating on the palm noticeably improves grip, especially on slightly oily or damp parts, while still preserving fine tactile sensitivity in the fingers. Another practical benefit is that the glove is washable, which extends its working life considerably and reduces the cost per shift.
Thanks to the high-modulus fibre and glass content, the Waredex Work 550 achieves very high cut-resistance index values, suited to demanding applications in metalworking or when handling sharp-edged components. At the same time, the glove keeps the hand agile, making it a good fit for tasks that call for fine motor control, such as sorting, inspecting or assembling small parts.
