The Dorsten asphalt boot is a safety boot built for anyone working on hot asphalt or tar, such as road construction crews or waterproofing specialists. Instead of a treaded sole, it features a smooth outsole with no profile, so hot material cannot get trapped in grooves or damage the sole over time. This is complemented by the Klima-Kork climate system, which keeps the foot comfortable inside the boot even when the ground underneath is very hot.
The upper is made from grained, water-repellent full-grain leather, giving the boot a sturdy, long-lasting base that also resists moisture. The padded collar and padded dirt flap keep the boot comfortable during extended wear and help stop dirt getting in. Closure is via speed-lacing eyelets, allowing quick on and off without compromising fit.
The EN ISO 20345 S2 HRO SRA certification confirms the key protective features for this kind of work: the corrosion-free steel toe cap guards against impact and compression, the HRO marking indicates the outsole's heat resistance up to 300°C, and SRA confirms slip resistance on ceramic tile floors with cleaning agents. The two-layer PU/nitrile outsole is also antistatic and oil-resistant, making the boot safe to wear on oily or chemically exposed surfaces as well.
This makes the Dorsten a strong choice for road workers, roofers, and anyone regularly exposed to hot asphalt, tar or bitumen. The boot is available in sizes 40 to 47 in width 11, and is supplied in packs of 5 pairs, making it practical for equipping whole teams at once.
