The Arc Grip 18C Level 1 is a protective glove built for tasks with arc flash risk, such as electrical work, switchgear handling, or maintenance on live equipment. With an arc rating of 12 cal/cm², it ranks among the strongest performers in its class while also guarding against flame exposure and cuts.
It's made from an 18 gauge knit fabric with a flame-resistant FR coating. This fine knit construction keeps the glove flexible and comfortable to wear, which makes a real difference during precision work with tools or cabling. The palm carries an additional flame-resistant neoprene coating that delivers a secure grip even when hands are sweaty or the workpiece is slightly oily.
On the protection side, the Arc Grip covers several risks at once: tested to EN 407:2020 (4121XX) for heat and flame resistance, it withstands contact heat up to 100°C. Under EN 388:2016 (3X42C) and ANSI Cut Level A3, it provides cut protection at level C, relevant when handling sharp-edged parts or tools. CE certification confirms it meets requirements for professional use.
This makes the glove a strong fit for electricians, maintenance technicians, and engineers working around switchgear, distribution panels, or live equipment, where protection against both thermal and mechanical hazards is essential.
