The MADISON UV protection poloshirt by 4PROTECT® is designed for anyone who spends much of their working day outdoors and wants reliable protection from the sun. Whether on construction sites, in road building, at public authorities, in waste management, forestry, agriculture, horticulture, skilled trades, transport, logistics or warehousing, this poloshirt adds certified UV protection to a garment type already common in these fields, without looking like specialised technical wear.
The outer fabric combines recycled polyester with TENCEL™ lyocell fibres sourced from certified or controlled wood sources. In daily wear this translates into a soft, smooth handle that feels pleasant against the skin and supports a naturally dry feel, a noticeable benefit during long shifts in summer heat or physically demanding work. Ribbed cuffs made from 100% polyester add shape retention at the sleeves and hem.
UV protection is tested and certified to EN 13758-2:2003+A1:2006, the standard covering the protective properties of textiles against ultraviolet solar radiation. The poloshirt achieves a UV Protection Factor (UPF) of 50+, blocking the majority of UV radiation that would otherwise reach the skin unhindered. As PPE category I, it is classified for risks with a low level of hazard, which applies to typical UV exposure from sunlight.
This makes the MADISON well suited to workers in construction and road building, public authorities and organisations, waste management, forestry, gardening and agriculture, skilled trades, and transport, logistics and warehousing, wherever outdoor work under direct sunlight is part of the daily routine.
