The teXXor® ESD 2 knitted glove is built for workplaces where fine finger dexterity and protection against electrostatic charge both matter. Knitted from a single thread with no seams to rub or irritate, it fits closely and moves naturally with the hand. That makes it a strong choice wherever sensitive components or devices are handled and bulkier gloves would only get in the way.
The knit itself is made from nylon, carbon fibre and elastic yarn, giving the glove its stretch and snug fit, while the palm carries a polyurethane coating. This PU coating provides grip without limiting finger movement, and the glove stays thin and comfortable to wear throughout the day. A practical bonus: the glove is touchscreen-compatible, so devices can be operated without taking it off.
The carbon fibre content is what makes the glove electrostatic dissipative, meaning static charge is safely conducted away instead of building up and discharging suddenly. EN 388:2016+A1:2018 confirms a basic level of mechanical protection, while EN ISO 21420:2020 covers the general requirements for protective gloves. Together with EN 16350:2014, the glove is specifically designed for ESD-sensitive tasks and is classified under PPE category II.
This makes it well suited for electricians in the construction sector, for work in the energy industry, and for the electronics and telecommunications industries, anywhere sensitive electronic components need protection from electrostatic discharge while precise finger work is still required.
