Product information "teXXor Welder Gloves KATLA"
The teXXor® KATLA welding gloves are built for anyone who needs dependable hand protection during welding and deburring work without giving up dexterity. The 5-finger design allows a firmer grip and more freedom of movement than a mitten-style glove, which makes a real difference on more detailed tasks at the workpiece.
They are made from split/grain cowhide with a material thickness of roughly 1.0 to 1.2 mm. That combination results in a glove that is tough and durable while still feeling comfortable to wear and gradually moulding to the shape of the hand. The extra-long cuff extends well beyond the wrist, giving added protection to the pulse and forearm area against sparks and heat.
The gloves are tested to EN 388:2016 for mechanical risks such as abrasion, cut and puncture, and are heat-resistant to EN 407:2004, making them suitable for handling heat and sparks during welding work. They also meet the dedicated welding glove standard EN 12477:2001+A1:2005 as well as the basic requirements of EN 420:2003+A1:2009. As category II PPE, they are designed for medium-level risks.
This makes the KATLA gloves suitable for welding and deburring work as well as general heavy-duty tasks in trades, construction, the automotive industry and its suppliers, metalworking and mechanical engineering, locksmiths and workshops, petrol stations and truck stops, and glass manufacturing.
