The X-Series work trousers are built for tradespeople who want more than basic workwear from a well-organised, purpose-designed garment. Their clean, modern design, set off by red and tone-on-tone X-bar details, gives the trousers a distinct look within the Qualitex range without being flashy.
The trousers are made from Qualitex's established blended fabric, known for its high durability and able to withstand the daily wear and tear of building sites and workshops alike. The pocket system has been laid out with real work in mind: the large handwarmer pockets extend into the back panel and are divided by a side seam, creating a large seat pocket on the right and a smaller one on the left. A dedicated ruler pocket with its own pen compartment and an applied thigh pocket with a flap cover add further storage for tools and small items exactly where they are needed. The waistband, fitted with six belt loops and side elastic inserts, keeps the trousers secure while allowing full freedom of movement, and is fastened with a metal jeans button together with a plastic zip fly.
For anyone working on their knees, the pre-shaped knee pad pocket, which takes pads inserted from below, is a key feature. Combined with the Qualitex Knee Protector pads, this construction is certified as knee protection to EN 14404-3:2024, Type 2, Performance Level 1. In practice, this means the trousers and matching knee pads together provide tested protection for kneeling work, such as tiling, flooring or assembly tasks where this position is part of the daily routine.
