Product information "Women's Shell Jacket Stretch"

This shell jacket from Blaklader's women's range is built for anyone working outdoors in wind, rain and cold who still needs freedom of movement. It is cut specifically for the female form, with pre-shaped sleeves and an extended back, and is the counterpart to the men's model 4483. A two-way zip, an adjustable waist with drawcord and cuffs with a thumb hole let you fine-tune the fit to the weather and to how you move.

The outer fabric is 83% polyamide and 17% spandex, laminated and finished with 4-way stretch. In practice that means the jacket moves with you instead of restricting you, feels soft and supple against the skin, and stays light despite its protective performance. A thin mesh lining plus a lightly padded inner lining add comfort without adding bulk. The seams are taped, so water cannot creep in at the stitch lines.

The water and wind resistance are backed by real figures: a 15,000 mm water column and a Ret value of 11.3 mean the jacket keeps rain out while still letting body moisture escape. It is certified to EN 343 class 4.1, the standard covering protection against rain penetration and water vapour resistance in workwear, and tested against harmful substances under Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The detachable hood with mesh lining, the wind flap with hook-and-loop fastening and the Hypalon pull with reflective transfer keep it practical in changeable weather, while reflective details on the sleeves add visibility.

That makes it a strong choice for tradeswomen, bricklayers and tilers, roofers, floor layers, painters and drivers who regularly work outside in shifting conditions.
