These multi-norm work trousers from Blaklader are cut specifically for women and designed for anyone facing multiple hazards on the job: tradeswomen, electricians, and road or construction workers. They combine flame protection, high-visibility features and several other safety functions in a single garment, while still offering practical pockets despite all the certification requirements.
The fabric is an inherent ripstop blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid with antistatic properties. That means the protective performance is built into the fibres themselves and stays intact wash after wash - the trousers are tested and approved for 50 wash cycles. Reinforcements made of CORDURA®, Kevlar® and Protal® at the knees, along with double fabric layers in the pockets, keep the trousers from wearing out quickly under the rough daily demands of a building site or electrical job. Water- and dirt-repellent properties make everyday care easier, and the trousers are completely metal-free.
The trousers carry several certifications, each covering a different type of hazard. EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flames, EN ISO 20471 class 2 ensures strong visibility in traffic, EN ISO 11611 provides protection for welding work, EN 13034 offers limited protection against chemical splashes, and EN 1149-5 gives the fabric antistatic properties. The IEC 61482-2 rating, with an ATPV value of 11 cal/cm², also makes these trousers suitable for work involving arc flash risk, such as electrical jobs.
This combination of standards makes the trousers a solid choice for anyone moving between different hazard zones on the job, whether in electrical work, road construction, or building sites with traffic exposure.
