The Tector® flip-up welding goggles are made for anyone who switches between welding, brazing and regular visual tasks without wanting to swap eyewear every time. The green welding lens flips up to reveal the clear polycarbonate reinforcement lens underneath, designed for intermittent use whenever welding is only part of the job and inspection or assembly work follows right after.
The frame is made of PVC, while the welding lens itself is glass, permanently fitted yet fully mobile within the flip mechanism. The polyester headband is about 15 mm wide, elastic and length-adjustable, so the goggles fit different head shapes and stay comfortable during longer wear. Four large vents provide indirect airflow to help prevent the lenses from fogging up. At around 140 g, the goggles stay light even with frequent flipping between lenses.
The goggles are certified to EN 166 and EN 175, the base standards for eye and face protection against mechanical and thermal hazards. The welding lens meets shade level 5 under EN 169, making it suitable for welding, brazing and metalworking. The F marking indicates protection against low-energy particles at high speed, and the sealed fit further helps keep sparks and debris from entering from the sides.
