The Blaklader XLIGHT long johns are a base layer made entirely from merino wool, designed for anyone working outdoors or in unheated spaces during cooler weather. Cut thin and flexible, they sit comfortably under workwear trousers without adding bulk, and are recommended for temperatures between +10°C and -10°C. Reinforced knees mean they hold up well during kneeling work, such as on construction sites or when laying tiles.
The fabric is a single jersey knit made from 100 percent merino wool at 160 g/m², finer and lighter than traditional wool underwear. Merino wool naturally regulates moisture and temperature, wicking sweat away from the skin while keeping you warm without overheating. An elastic waistband with the Blåkläder logo keeps everything in place, and the contrast stitching is kept flat so it doesn't chafe. Being pure wool, the garment needs a little extra care when washing: use a wool detergent at 40°C, and avoid bleaching, dry cleaning, ironing or tumble drying.
The fabric is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances and is safe to wear directly against the skin without irritation.
