The Twill Kids' Shorts Bonno is built for children who spend a lot of time outdoors in summer, whether on the farm, playing sport or simply out in the garden. Available from size 98/104 up to 170/176, it grows with the child over several years and offers the same thoughtful design found in adult workwear, just scaled down for kids.
The outer fabric, a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton at around 245 g/m², makes for a hard-wearing yet comfortable pair of shorts. Triple stitching copes well with the rough and tumble of everyday childhood activity, while the adjustable waistband with elastic and stretch inserts moves with the child instead of digging in or slipping down. Contrast stitching and colour panels give the shorts a sporty look, and the reflective piping on the side pocket and at the back adds visibility, useful on the way to school in low light.
The UPF 40+ sun protection rating to EN 13758-2 is a real benefit during the summer months: it significantly cuts the UV radiation reaching the skin through the fabric, helping to guard against sunburn during longer spells outdoors.
