The Stronghand® Classic VS 53 is a long-cuffed protective glove designed for work where hands and forearms need reliable defence against mechanical strain and sparks. With a length of around 35 cm, the gauntlet extends well beyond the wrist, offering noticeably more coverage than a standard short glove – making it well suited to welding and similar tasks where flying sparks or hot splashes are a real risk.
The palm and index finger are made from full-grain cowhide, giving a sturdy, grippy surface for direct contact with tools and workpieces. The back of the hand and the gauntlet are made from split leather, which keeps the glove lighter and more flexible without sacrificing durability. Welted seams protect the stitching from abrasion and add to the glove's working life, while the built-in pulse protection provides extra security around the wrist area.
EN 388 confirms the glove's mechanical protection against hazards such as abrasion, cuts and punctures, the kind of risks common when handling sharp-edged materials or tools. DIN EN 12477 Type A is a standard specific to welding gloves, certifying protection against the typical thermal and mechanical stresses encountered during welding work.
