The Pombal stretch shorts are short work trousers designed for anyone who refuses to compromise on freedom of movement or protection during the summer months. The fitted cut sits close to the body without restricting movement, making these shorts a practical choice for warm days outdoors or on the job.
The outer fabric, made from 80% polyester and 20% cotton, features mechanical two-way stretch. In practice this means noticeably more freedom of movement when bending or lunging, while the fabric keeps its shape wash after wash instead of sagging or losing its fit. The part-elasticated waistband adds further comfort, and the YKK zip ensures reliable closure throughout the working day. Reflective piping on the thigh pockets also improves visibility in low light.
Certified to EN 13758-2, the fabric provides a UV protection factor of UPF 40+, meaningfully reducing skin exposure to UV radiation during outdoor work – a factor that's easy to overlook in summer.
With two side pockets, a thigh pocket with pen pockets, two back pockets and a ruler pocket, the Pombal offers plenty of storage for tools and small items.
