The step drill bit is a specialized tool for drilling and countersinking holes in steel sheet metal in a single pass. With its six graduated drill stages, you can create various hole diameters up to 10 mm without changing tools. This saves time and eliminates errors when transitioning between drilling and countersinking.
The tool works with progressive cutting action: each stage enlarges the hole by a defined amount until you reach the desired size. This produces a clean hole with a flush surface – follow-up work with a separate countersink is unnecessary. You save material and reduce wear on your drill press.
