The SPORT STEP SA from Nitras is a safety sandal built for anyone who needs reliable foot protection even in warm weather. If you spend your shifts on a construction site, in a warehouse or on the production floor and find closed safety boots too stifling in summer, this open, sporty design still delivers the core protective features you need.
The upper is made from strapazierfähig full-grain leather in black, offering a sturdy, shape-retaining feel that stays comfortable against the skin throughout the day. The PU/TPU outsole is hard-wearing and non-marking, so it stays clean under heavy use and won't leave scuff marks on the floor. A hook-and-loop fastener keeps the sandal securely on the foot, while the reinforced heel in tough microfibre and the heel lining make it quick and easy to slip on and off. An ergonomically shaped insole adds all-day wearing comfort, and the reflective strip running around the sandal improves visibility in low light.
The fibreglass toe cap protects against impact and compression while staying noticeably lighter than a steel cap, and it's entirely metal-free. A textile anti-penetration midsole adds further protection against sharp objects underfoot. The S1 P rating with SRC confirms tested slip resistance across different surfaces, and the ESD rating makes the sandal suitable for workplaces with specific requirements on electrostatic discharge. Tested to DGUV Regel 112-191 and classified under PPE risk category II, the SPORT STEP SA is well suited to trades, logistics and industrial settings wherever lightweight, well-ventilated foot protection is needed in warm conditions.
