Product information "Shell Jacket Stretch"

The Shell Jacket Stretch from Blaklader is a weatherproof outer layer built for anyone working outdoors on site, whatever the conditions. Bricklayers, tilers, roofers, floor layers and painters can wear it over their regular workwear as extra protection against the elements, and it is also available in a women's version.

The outer fabric is a laminated 4-way stretch blend of polyamide and spandex that stays soft and supple rather than stiff, which is often the trade-off with conventional rain shells. At 170 g/m² the fabric is lightweight, and the stretch really shows when bending, climbing or working overhead. A thin mesh lining keeps things comfortable against the skin without making the jacket feel too warm. Adjustable cuffs with thumb loops, a drawcord waist and the extended back keep wind and rain out, while a zip in the lining makes it easier to add company branding or other decoration later on.

The wind and waterproofing are backed up by taped, welded seams and a fabric rated to 15000 mm water column, not just marketing claims. At the same time the jacket stays breathable, letting sweat escape rather than building up inside. It is rated EN 343 class 4,4, the top class for waterproofness and breathability under this standard, meaning dependable protection against rain, wind and cold during long days outside.

The detachable hood with mesh lining, reflective details on the sleeves and practical zipped pockets, one with a D-ring, round the jacket off as a genuinely practical choice for tradespeople, roofers, tilers and drivers who spend most of their working day outdoors. The Hypalon zip pull and the hook-and-loop wind flap are the kind of small details that hold up to daily wear on site.
