The TY178S HP coverall from the Tyvek® 500 HP range is built for situations where not just the wearer but also a safety harness needs to stay protected from contamination. Four integrated D-ring cuffs with elastic, positioned at the front, back, and both sides, allow the harness to be worn directly against the body while remaining shielded by the suit. An offset, covered Tyvek® zipper accommodates the front cuff cleanly, keeping harness access available at all times without compromising the barrier. This makes the suit particularly suited to work at height or inside confined vessels, where fall protection and chemical protection are both required at once.
The outer material is 100% HDPE Tyvek®, a fine yet tear-resistant nonwoven fabric that feels light while staying durable in use. A three-piece hood, elasticated cuffs at the wrists, ankles and waist, and thumb loops made from the same Tyvek® material all contribute to a secure fit without restricting movement. The ergonomic cut and silicone-free construction make the suit comfortable to wear over longer periods, for example during repeated procedures or inspection rounds.
On the protection side, the suit covers a wide range of hazards: it is particle-tight to EN ISO 13982-1 (Type 5) and offers limited splash protection against liquid chemicals to EN 13034 (Type 6), with an antistatic finish to EN 1149-5 for use in explosion-risk areas. Contamination protection against radioactive particles to EN 1073-2 and blood- and virus-tightness to EN 14126 make it equally suitable for biological hazards and handling contaminated materials. Classified as PSA Category 3, the suit is designed for protection against risks that can cause serious or irreversible harm.
The coverall is supplied as bulk-order stock with a minimum order quantity of 25 units, made to order with a lead time of around 14 working days. It is aimed at professional users in industry, working at height, remediation, or handling biological and radioactive hazards, wherever wearer protection and harness compatibility both matter.
