Inherent Tube Scarf

The Inherent tube scarf from Blåkläder is a versatile multifunctional accessory for anyone who needs extra protection against heat and open flame on the job. It can be worn as a hat, neck warmer or headband, and thanks to the double layer of fabric at one end, it can also be pulled up as face protection when needed, giving better coverage for the neck and face.

The scarf is made in sweatshirt quality from a blend of modacrylic, cotton, aramid, polyamide and an antistatic fibre, knitted using an interlock construction. At around 250 g/m², the fabric feels soft and comfortable against the skin while still offering flame-retardant and antistatic properties. It is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, meaning it is free from substances that could irritate sensitive skin.

Because the flame protection is inherent, it is built into the fibres themselves rather than applied as a coating that could wear off over time. Certification to EN ISO 14116 Index 3 confirms the highest level of protection against limited flame spread, while EN 1149-5 verifies the antistatic properties, helping to reduce the risk of electrostatic charge. The ELIM value of 8.6 cal/cm² further indicates how well the material limits heat transfer during exposure to flame.

This makes the tube scarf a practical choice for work environments with a risk of sparks or heat exposure, such as welding, electrical installation work, or any setting where flame-retardant protective clothing is required.
