The Blaklader STRIKER craftsman shorts are cut specifically for women and designed for tradeswomen working in construction, gardening, electrical work, plumbing or warehouse jobs who need real freedom of movement on site. The raised waistband at the back keeps the shorts in place when bending or kneeling, while a wide range of functional pockets keeps tools, a folding rule, phone and ID within easy reach. The style is also available as the men's model 1972, making it easy to outfit mixed teams consistently.
The fabric is a 2-way CORDURA® stretch twill with improved colour fastness and durability, so it keeps looking good even after frequent wear and washing at 60°C. Extra 4-way stretch panels in the crotch and back yoke flex exactly where movement is greatest during physical work, while ventilation in the yoke and mesh inserts make the shorts noticeably more comfortable on warmer days. CORDURA®-reinforced pockets stand up to sharp tools without making the shorts feel stiff or restrictive.
Everyday details include detachable, replaceable nail pockets and a hammer loop that can be removed when they get in the way of certain tasks. A reinforced ruler pocket with knife holder and pen pocket, a zipped leg pocket and a pleated back pocket round out the storage options. Black reflective stripes on the back of the legs add extra visibility, and the fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances.
