This Blaklader rain jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in bad weather who still needs freedom of movement. It's cut thin and flexible, with an extended back and a drawstring at the hem for a fit that adapts to the body rather than getting in the way. That makes it better suited to changeable weather or wear over a single layer than to constant heavy rain with bulky gear underneath.
The fabric is 100% polyester with a PU coating, kept light at 185g/m² while still holding up to daily work wear. The seams are taped, which in practice means water can't get in at the points where rainwear usually fails first. The cuffs adjust with velcro closures, and the concealed two-way zip runs all the way up to the collar, opening from either top or bottom, useful for quick access to a tool belt. The hood is detachable and adjustable, so it can be removed entirely when it gets in the way of the work at hand.
The jacket is certified to EN 343, class 3.1, the standard for protective clothing against bad weather. It confirms that the material is wind- and waterproof, keeping out moisture and cold, backed up by the waterproof and windproof symbols and further confirmed by Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for tested, low-hazard materials.
