This pair of rain trousers from Blaklader is built for anyone who works outdoors in bad weather and still needs to move freely on the job, from tradespeople to gardeners, road workers and construction crews. It combines solid protection against wind and rain with a fit that stays comfortable over a full shift.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester with a PU coating, weighing in at 240 g/m² for a build that feels sturdy without adding unnecessary bulk. The seams are taped, so no water can creep in through the stitching. A wide elastic panel at the back, together with adjustable and detachable braces and adjustable leg ends with buttons, lets the trousers be tailored to different body shapes and footwear. Reinforcements at the knees and calves mean the fabric holds up to kneeling work and contact with rough surfaces without wearing through early. The bellowed leg pocket with flap, the ruler pocket with an extra compartment and knife holder, and the opening designed to let tool pouches hang out all keep gear within easy reach without getting in the way when moving.
Certified to EN 343 with class 3.1 for water resistance, the trousers are built to handle rain and wind, backed up by the taped seams, water proof 3 and windproof markings. In practice this means the trousers stay reliably dry even through sustained rain, with no water finding its way through the fabric or seams. Reflective stripes measuring 60 mm and 65 mm, plus extra reflective details on the legs, boost visibility in low light or after dark, useful on construction sites or near traffic.
