The reflective strips for the Grizzlyskin IRON shorts are an optional accessory for anyone who wants to add extra visibility to their IRON-range work shorts. Rather than buying a full hi-vis garment, this lets you upgrade the shorts you already own – ideal for anyone working outdoors who wants to be seen more easily as light fades.
This works thanks to the double-layer hem on the leg of every IRON shorts, which already comes with a built-in zip. The strips are simply threaded through this zip, no sewing or gluing required. The double hem is designed so the zip never touches the skin directly, avoiding chafing or friction even on long working days.
Each pair of shorts takes two encircling strips of retroreflective material in warning orange, intended to improve visibility during outdoor work. It's worth noting that these strips are not certified hi-vis workwear under the PSA regulation and EN standard, but rather a functional add-on for everyday visibility – useful on construction sites, in landscaping and outdoor maintenance work, or in any other outdoor task where being noticed early makes a difference.
