The RUNNEX® FlexStar is a safety sandal designed for anyone who needs freedom of movement in warm environments or on short routes without giving up protection. Thanks to the hook-and-loop fasteners and heel strap, it can be put on and taken off quickly, making it especially practical for workplaces with frequent shoe changes, such as at factory gates or access-controlled areas. Its light weight and high breathability keep feet cool even during long shifts.
The microfibre upper with textile inserts keeps the sandal both light and shape-stable. Inside, the RUNNEX® AIRSTREAM functional lining helps maintain a dry foot climate, while the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining prevents chafing. The combination of a black PU outsole and white PU midsole delivers noticeable comfort throughout the shift, supported by RUNNEX® activeBumper cushioning that absorbs impact with every step.
In terms of safety, the FlexStar meets EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 in class S1PS FO, which means protection through a toe cap – here made of aluminium via RUNNEX® Alu-Protection –, a penetration-resistant, fuel-resistant sole, and a closed heel area. Its additional ESD capability to EN 61340-4-3:2001 safely dissipates electrostatic charge, protecting sensitive components and workstations. Classification follows DGUV112-191 under PPE category II.
This makes the FlexStar well suited to industry and skilled trades, warehousing and logistics, and dry-area ESD workstations, wherever mobility, foot comfort and reliable protection all matter equally.
