The RUNNEX® FlexStar is an S1PS safety sandal with ESD capability, designed for anyone working in warm, dry environments who still needs reliable foot protection. Hook-and-loop fasteners and a heel strap make it quick to put on and take off, which is especially useful in workplaces with frequent changes between the shop floor and breaks. Its light weight and flexible construction mean it doesn't feel like typical bulky safety footwear, even over long shifts.
The microfibre upper with textile inserts and the RUNNEX® AIRSTREAM functional lining keep the foot well ventilated despite the built-in protection, while the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining keeps the foot securely in place without rubbing. The black PU outsole with coloured PU midsole and RUNNEX® activeBumper cushioning noticeably absorbs impact while walking or standing, making the sandal comfortable to wear across long working days.
The foot is protected by a RUNNEX® Alu-Protect toe cap, tested to EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 in class S1PS FO – meaning protection against impact and compression at the toes, together with a puncture-resistant, fuel-resistant sole. ESD capability to EN 61340-4-3:2001 allows controlled dissipation of electrostatic charge, complemented by classification under DGUV112-191. As Category II PPE, the sandal is intended for workplaces with a moderate level of risk.
This makes the FlexStar well suited to industry, trades, warehousing and logistics, as well as any setting where electrostatic discharge poses a risk, such as dedicated ESD workstations in dry environments.
