The RUNNEX® FlexStar is an S1PS safety sandal designed for anyone working in warm environments or during summer months who wants light, breathable footwear without giving up protection. The hook-and-loop fastenings and heel strap allow quick, easy on- and off-wearing and adapt individually to the foot, which is especially useful for frequent shoe changes or in workplaces with access controls.
The microfibre upper combined with breathable mesh and TPU reinforcements keeps the sandal light and airy, even during long shifts. The RUNNEX® SPORTY functional lining and the soft SOFTtouch heel lining add further comfort, while the VESTAMI cushioning, known as the activeBumper, absorbs impact while walking and reduces strain on the joints. The PU outsole with PU midsole keeps the overall weight low.
As a safety sandal certified to EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 in class S1PS, the FlexStar offers features including a penetration-resistant sole and SR slip resistance, providing reliable grip on various surfaces, including wet ones. Its additional ESD capability to EN 61340-5-1:2016 safely dissipates electrostatic charge, making it suitable for sensitive workplaces as well. Classification under DGUV112-191 and PPE category II complete its safety profile.
This makes the FlexStar well suited to dry working environments in industry, trades, warehousing and logistics, as well as ESD workstations where electrostatic discharge could damage sensitive equipment or components.
