The RUNNEX® LightStar is an S1 safety shoe designed for anyone who values a light step during the working day without giving up reliable protection. It suits people who are constantly on the move and want a shoe that stays out of the way while still meeting the standards required of proper safety footwear.
The upper, made from high-quality microfibre combined with textile inserts, gives the shoe a light, flexible feel more typical of sports shoes than workwear. The RUNNEX® AIRSTREAM functional lining supports air circulation inside the shoe, which becomes noticeable over longer shifts, while the RUNNEX® SOFTtouch heel lining adds extra comfort around the heel. The rubber outsole with Phylon midsole cushions each step, helping keep the wearer comfortable through a full working day.
As an S1 shoe certified to EN ISO 20345:2022, the LightStar features a RUNNEX® aluminium toe cap that protects the forefoot against impact and compression, for example from falling objects. The FO marking indicates a fuel-resistant outsole, making the shoe suitable for areas with corresponding exposure. Its classification under PPE Category II confirms that it is protective equipment designed against medium-level risks.
This makes the LightStar a good fit for industry, trade, warehouse and logistics work, and generally for any dry working environment where a lightweight, breathable safety shoe is needed.
