Taped seams keep water from getting in, while the highly water-repellent fabric finish makes rain bead off the surface instead of soaking through. In practice, this means the jacket keeps performing even after extended time out in the rain. Pre-shaped sleeves allow greater freedom of movement, useful for reaching or working overhead, and hook-and-loop cuff fastenings keep sleeves snug and secure, blocking out drafts and moisture.
Warmth comes from the built-in thermal insulation, paired with an adjustable functional hood and a drawcord at both hood and hem to fine-tune the fit to the weather and the wearer.
