This forming block with a 5 mm diameter is the working part that creates the actual flare in your flaring tool. It sits in the tool's die and forms the characteristic double flare in brake lines, copper tubing, and similar pipes. The 5 mm forming block is designed for tubing of this nominal size and should be replaced regularly when worn or scratched, as damage leads to uneven, unreliable flare ends.
A fresh forming block restores clean, leak-proof flare connections with smooth surfaces. The part simply inserts into the tool and locks securely in its mounting position.
