The PU stretch overall Carolinensiel is a full-body weather protection suit for anyone working outdoors in wind and rain who still needs freedom of movement. Unlike a stiff rain suit, this overall uses a stretch fabric that moves with you when bending, reaching or climbing, so it never feels restrictive. The bright orange colour also improves visibility on construction sites or during outdoor field work.
The outer material is PU coating on a polyester carrier fabric, and at around 190 g/m² it stays pleasantly light even during long shifts, never feeling bulky. The seams are welded rather than stitched, which keeps moisture out at the points where it usually gets in first. Everyday details such as the concealed front zip with press studs, the hood with drawstring, elasticated cuffs with knitted inner cuffs and press studs, and the adjustable leg openings with press studs all make the suit easy to put on and take off while keeping water out. A back vent and elasticated waist at the rear improve comfort further during movement and sweat-intensive work.
With a hydrostatic head of 8,000 mm, the overall is certified to EN 343 class 4/1, meaning it is built for sustained rain and strong wind — the standard confirms that both fabric and seams withstand water pressure while still allowing enough breathability for a tolerable wearing experience. The additional EN ISO 13688 rating confirms it meets the general requirements for protective clothing. This makes the overall suitable for road construction, logistics, landscaping and any outdoor work carried out in all weather conditions. A chest pocket with flap and press stud keeps small items close at hand.
