The Pappel PU jacket is a weatherproof work jacket built for anyone working outdoors in rain and wind. It suits all-day outdoor use and stands out for its exceptionally light, supple fabric that never feels bulky or restrictive on the job.
The outer material is PU coated onto a polyester backing weighing around 190 g/m², which keeps the jacket lightweight despite its protective properties. It stretches in both directions, so freedom of movement is preserved even during physically demanding tasks. The seams are double-welded, keeping moisture reliably on the outside. Features such as the concealed front zip with additional snap fasteners, the hood built into the collar with a drawcord, elasticated cuffs with hook-and-loop fastening, and the drawcord hem all let the jacket adapt to changing weather and body movement. Back ventilation further helps moisture escape from the inside rather than building up.
The jacket meets EN 343 class 4/1/X as well as EN ISO 13688, the general standard for protective clothing. EN 343 covers protection against rain, wind and cold through the combination of water resistance and water vapour permeability; with a hydrostatic head of 8,000 mm, the jacket offers reliable protection against penetrating moisture while its breathability prevents sweat from building up underneath.
