This 200 ml bottle of pH-neutral wash solution is designed for first response when there is a risk of chemical burns to the eye or a wound, for example in workplaces handling acids or alkalis. The sterile phosphate buffer, at a 4.9% concentration, is formulated to neutralise acids and alkalis once they have come into contact with the eye or an open wound. After rinsing with this solution, it is recommended to follow up with the Plum 0.9% sodium chloride wash.
The bottle itself is built for speed and simplicity: its user-friendly design allows one-handed opening, which matters when the other hand needs to hold the eye open. The ergonomic eye cup directs an effective, controlled flow of solution rather than an uncontrolled splash. It is a single-use bottle, meant to be disposed of after use rather than refilled or reused.
